Durability drives New Holland Pro

Apr 30, 2023Apr 30, 2023

New Holland is expanding its round baler offering with the launch of its Pro-Belt Series.

The new balers made their first appearance at the recent Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. In this video, Jordan Milewski, New Holland's conventional haytools marketing manager, says producers can expect both durability and reliability from the new baler.

"When baling is your business, Pro-Belt balers are built to deliver more bales on the ground and performance your operation can depend on. The technology in these balers is second to none, with accurate moisture sensing and available IntelliBale baler automation to deliver the greatest productivity possible," says Milewski.

The Pro-Belt 450 and 460 models build solid, square-shouldered bales and feature heavy-duty components, like the TwinDrive gearbox, and more robust construction to enhance reliability for a higher bale count over the baler's lifetime.

Excellent baler feeding performance is the product of the MaxiSweep pickup and throughput from the SuperFeed rotary feeding system. Inside the chamber, producers will find a simple yet highly effective design with few moving parts paired with four wide endless belts to minimize maintenance. The ActiveDrop floor system is standard on all versions, minimizing the risk of crop plugging. To reduce periodic maintenance, automatic chain oiling and banked grease zerks are standard. An automatic greasing system and under-shield service lighting are controlled through the display. (Story continues after the video.)

The balers deliver an intuitive user interface with advanced ISOBUS electronics. The Pro-Belt is available standard with electronics that work with customer's virtual terminal display and ISOBUS connection or the IntelliView IV 10.4-inch colour touchscreen display. Operators can adjust numerous features and activate IntelliBale baler automation to automate the baling cycle with a compatible tractor.

The Pro-Belt Series combines easy-to-use, reliable design and rugged performance to produce dense 4’ by 5’ bales, the Roll-Belt 450 Utility PLUS model can maintain a low power requirement of just 45 PTO horsepower. It also includes the new SuperSweep pickup design that is wider and has a mechanical stuffer, delivering improved feeding compared to the prior model. "The pickup is 35% wider to gather big windrows on small farms for easier baling," notes Milewski.
